Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of terms

Using E-Wallet — creating an account, funding your wallet, or initiating any transaction — means you accept these terms and our Privacy Policy.

2. Eligibility & your account

• You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering a binding agreement.
• The information you provide during registration must be accurate and kept up to date.
• You're responsible for keeping your password confidential and for all activity that happens under your account.
• Tell us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.

3. The service

E-Wallet provides a digital wallet with a dedicated virtual bank account, transfers to other Nigerian bank accounts, savings plans, fixed deposits, group (Ajo) savings, and vouchers. Transfers and deposits are processed through Paystack. We aim for the service to be available at all times but don't guarantee uninterrupted access — maintenance, third-party outages, or issues outside our control can affect availability.

4. Vouchers

A voucher is a code that credits the redeemer's wallet balance when used. Creating a fixed-value voucher deducts the equivalent amount from your own wallet at the time of creation — you are responsible for having sufficient balance to cover it. A voucher may optionally indicate a merchant where its value is intended to be spent; we do not control, verify, or guarantee anything that happens on a third-party merchant's site, and are not responsible for disputes arising there. Voucher codes should be treated like cash — anyone who redeems a valid code before you do will receive the credit.

5. Fees

Any fees that apply to transfers, deposits, or other services will be shown to you before you confirm the transaction. We don't charge hidden fees.

6. Your responsibilities

• Provide accurate recipient details before confirming a transfer — completed transfers to the wrong account may not be reversible.
• Use the service only for lawful purposes.
• Do not attempt to circumvent security controls or access another user's account or data.

7. Prohibited use

You may not use E-Wallet to:

• Facilitate fraud, money laundering, or any other unlawful activity
• Interfere with or disrupt the service or its infrastructure
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any account, system, or data
• Create vouchers or accounts for the purpose of extracting value without a legitimate underlying transaction

8. Suspension & termination

We may suspend or close an account that violates these terms or that we reasonably believe is being used fraudulently, after making reasonable efforts to notify you. Any remaining wallet balance will be handled in accordance with applicable law. You may close your account at any time by contacting support, subject to settling any outstanding balance.

9. Limitation of liability

E-Wallet is provided "as is." To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the service, including losses caused by third-party services (such as Paystack or a merchant linked from a voucher) that are outside our control.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you directly. Continuing to use E-Wallet after a change means you accept the updated terms.
